John Mayer for President? Post Pop Analysis of the Self Conscious?

Here at KeepingTheFayth, we celebrate different lights to warm the soul and encourage everyone to bring their goodness every minute, hour and day. The coming storm of over saturated nonsense was sensed by us, but as we worked the whole of last year for a celebrity -- it was a bit hard to ring the bell. Hell, these days what are the chances anyone would hear over the whir of stunningly saran-wrapping mediocrity? History doth protest, and the internet will remember so kudos to John Mayer for howling back at the madness in concise and moving form.

Best Bit:
I want to do is to shed a little light on why we're all in the same boat, no matter the shape of the life we lead: because every one of us were told since birth that we were special. We were spoken to by name through a television. We were promised we could be anything that we wanted to be, if only we believed it and then, faster than we saw coming, we were set loose into the world to shake hands with the millions of other people who were told the exact same thing.

And really? Really? It turns out we're just not all that special, when you break it down. Beautifully unspectacular, actually. And that truth is going to catch up with us whether we want to run from it or not. The paparazzo following me to the gym ain't gonna be Herb Ritts and the guy he's following ain't gonna be Bob Dylan. It's just a matter of how old you are once you embrace that fact. - READ IT ALL AT JOHNMAYER.COM

That's What I Call Organic: Extra Solar Life?

The Hubble Space Telescope has discovered the first organic molecule on a planet that's not in our solar system. According to NASA, this breakthrough could be a major step toward discovering life on other planets. Scientists believe that the organic compound detected, methane, can be an integral part in the chemical reactions considered necessary to form life as we know it.

The discovery was made on a planet called HD 189733b, which is 63 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Vulpecula. -- Read More @ CNet

Clinton Visits Stonewall Democrats

"...Clinton promised to extend benefits to all same-sex couples who work for the federal government with an executive order, end "don't ask, don't tell" and use the bully pulpit to advocate for a fully inclusive ENDA and a fully inclusive hate-crimes bill.

Clinton also discussed how adamant she is about allowing everyone in America to adopt children if they are a qualified couple. "It was like she was indignant," Teresa Herrin of Houston's Stonewall chapter said of Clinton's manner while talking about same-sex couples' adoption rights. "Her voice just really changed, and that was the part that surprised us -- her passion..."

That Obama declined last minute doesn't surprise me,
as a blaQue queer I'm still upset with him for the McClurkin fiasco.

Our Dear Donnie

BlaQues have been fighting the insidious molestation=gay=ex-gay stereotypes for many years, especially in our churches. It's always seemed to me that Clinton has the best record if one was going to vote strictly on LGBT rights, as I often do.

I don't like "don't ask, don't tell" but at the time it was revolutionary, and decreased serious persecution of our people; imagine, just as awareness of the AIDS crisis was finally emerging, a small political masterstroke of the gays AND Clintons got gay safety & discrimination issues on the table. I might remind you of President Johnson marshaling through the Civil Rights Act on the back of a beloved dead President, whose previous champion was actually quite slight when all things were considered. For now I'll remain a Clinton supporter. She has a passion for LGBT rights, not just an interest in "maintaining" the gay vote!

A paid psych journal? Some people are truly stupid, yet there are even stupider people who listen to them.

Additionally according to University of California Davis, they are full of shit.

What is to be thought of a nation boasting of its liberty, boasting of its humanity, boasting of its Christianity, boasting of its love of justice and purity, and yet having within its own borders three millions of persons denied by law the right of marriage?—what must be the condition of that people? - Frederick Douglass

Metal Bras Found in Viking Dig!

"It was thought these metal discs were shoulder protectors, perhaps for women carrying heavy loads," said Ms Larsson.

But she said researchers comparing them with figurines found at the site realised they seemed to have been worn as a metal bra. - Scotsman.com, Uplifting evidence for Viking lingerie range

As you can see from the historical image, it just makes sense that it was a bra. Ah, History and What We Think We Know! So excited to see history properly remapped.

I see it much like the change from the world being flat, to round to globe. As our understanding changes, we recognize it as "discovery". Really, it's just the addition of new minds asking different questions and providing new answers.

If you ask me.
